Sofia Manta, who designs and signs Sofia Manta Creations, started her career as an economist. Her hobby, since 2009, has been to take ordinary, brown leather sandals from Monastiraki and embellish, alter, decorate them turning them into small works of art, each pair different from the others until, in 2011 , and after she had made sandals for all her friends, she quit her corporate job and returned to her hometown of Nafplio, determined to pursue her hobby professionally.
